NOTICE TO BIDDERS
You are invited to bid on the construction of the Proposed Claiborne County Justice Center Parking and Driveway Improvements, Claiborne County, Tennessee, RGC #26081.
These sealed bids will be received by the Claiborne County Justice Center at 415 Straight Creek Road in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Bids will be received until 10:00 AM, Friday, August 28th, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Claiborne County Justice Center Training Room and read aloud and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable. Any bids received after 10:00 AM will be returned unopened. Please indicate on your quotation, “PROPOSED CLAIBORNE COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER PARKING AND DRIVEWAY IMPROVEMENTS, CLAIBORNE COUNTY, TENNESSEE.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents must be obtained for bidding purposes at the office of Robert G. Campbell & Associates, 7523 Taggart Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee 37938 or by email request upon a payment of a check or cash for the sum of $75.00 . This payment WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. The meeting will be held at Claiborne County Justice Center at 415 Straight Creek Road in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Bidders do not need to be present at the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for their bids to be considered.
Bids may be mailed to Tim Shrout, Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, 415 Straight Creek Road in New Tazewell, TN 37825.
All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the “CONTRACTOR’S LICENSING ACT OF 1976”, and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. The Bidder’s name, license number, expiration date, and that part of the classification which applies to the Bidder must be placed on the sealed envelope containing the executed Proposal Form, otherwise, the Bid will not be considered. (Bidders on this project are required to be licensed for HRA-A,B,C,E).
Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder’s Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in Tennessee in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. This is required as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted within ninety (90) days of the bid date, the contract will be entered into within ten (10) consecutive days, and the performance of it will be properly secured.
The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract price.
Claiborne County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids.
